Little Shatibi Academy was born out of the dream of two passionate Madrasah teachers who felt it was time for a change. They experienced the restrictions of the current system and curricula that were failing a generation who were finding it hard to connect to their creator despite studying about him for several years. Children were graduating from Madrasah without a deep understanding and full appreciation of their beautiful faith.
Our first lessons were taught during the initial lockdown of Covid 19. While all madrasas were temporarily shut, our small team began a fun, holistic online Islamic programme to keep our children learning about Allah. They enjoyed the programme so much that they didn’t want it to stop, so the story continues…
The Little Sahtibi family has since grown! With a flourishing team of qualified and passionate teachers and a constantly revised curriculum that is relatable and accessible to all, Little Shatibi academy continues to reach little hearts and minds all over the globe.
Little Shatibi Academy boasts a custom-made curriculum that is regularly checked by students of knowledge and is constantly revised to make the content relatable to our students.
This year we will be exploring how to deepen our relationship with Allah swt through our five daily prayers, reflecting on the miracle of the Quran, and going that extra mile in all our acts of worship.
During our story hour, we will find out why Zayd (ra) chose to stay with the Prophet (s) over going back home with his father, why the Prophet (s) placed Abdullah ibn Maktoom in charge of Madinah despite the fact that he was blind, and why Asma (ra) was known as the ‘owner of two belts’, as we relive the stories of the mighty Companions.
Also, we will arrange a one-to-one Quran lesson for your child which means that he/she can continue with their current learning with a Shatibi teacher or start something new. As the lesson will be one to one the child can benefit from learning at their own level and pace. Lesson duration will be 30 mins each week for Quran.
LSA Full Package Annual Fee for 2022/23 – £656.
There is a 50% sibling discount for the full package. The first child is full price, and all subsequent children are 50% off the full price. There are no siblings’ discounts for Quran only or Islamic Studies only options. The tables below show how much you can save if you pay for the full year (sibling discount is included). It also shows you the dates we require the payments.
If you wish to withdraw your child/ren from the school, you will need to submit this in writing to the Administration Department on info@shatibi.co.uk.
Refunds can be arranged with two weeks’ notice. E.g. if you need to leave week 5 of the course you would need to inform us week 3 and the refund will be issued from week 5.If you inform us on week 5 the refund will be issued from week 7.
Refund will be made via bank transfer and it can take 10 working days to process.
I would like to thank Imam Shatibi for creating Little Shatibi. I'm extremely impressed with the calibre of teachers. My son recently joined, and I was unsure of joining online lessons as he's only 5. Alhamdulillah, Ustadha Judy has been amazing. She is extremely patient and doesn't leave any child out. She includes all the children regardless of their ability.
I love Ustadha's knowledge and firm but fair attitude in class, which fills me with confidence and to have no hesitation whatsoever in leaving my daughter with her without supervision. I am grateful that my daughter has a teacher she respects and looks up to. It is heartwarming to see how Ustadha Hamdi corrects the children so they have a firm ground in their beliefs whilst at the same time having fun with them.
