Our Mission

At Imam Shatibi our mission is make Qur'an accessible for all. Since 2010 we have had over 250 graduates with Ijazah who have gone on to teach in their local masajid or establish their own institutes, creating a lasting impact on communities.

How it came about...

Our sponsorship schemes started in 2020 during Covid. We started with offering free Quran lessons to our elders that were self-isolating and were unable to get out to lock down restrictions. Since then, we have launched various schemes to facilitate sponsorship which otherwise would not have been possible.

Many generous donors have come forward to support and facilitate the Muslims to connect with the book of Allah swt and read and recite the way our blessed Prophet (ﷺ) was taught by Jibreel (as). The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it". Our patrons are supporting the best of people and receiving a full share in the reward.

At the Imam Shatibi Institute, we believe finances shouldn't hinder Quranic learning. Thanks to sponsorships, we have been supporting dedicated students committed to learning for many years now. We can only continue to do this with your support.

Take part in this Communal Obligation

We ensure due diligence in allocating funds to those who need them by following a sponsorship policy and terms and conditions which the students must adhere too. Sponsorship can be nullified if students are unable to follow the guidelines stipulated. We want to ensure that your funds are being utilised appropriately. We do a termly review of our sponsored students to ensure funding is being used in the best place possible.

Our Goal: No student should stop their Quranic journey due to financial hardship.

With your help we can make learning Qur'an accessible for all. For many finances are an obstacle and they are unable to learn and build a connection with the book of Allah.
